Newspaper Nail Art

Finally got around to trying newspaper nail art, and it was easier than I thought! I first coated my nails with Sally Hansen's "Powerful Acrylic Gel", and a coat of Revlon's "Silver". Once that was dry I took small pieces of newspapers, dipped them in alcohol and pressed them against the nail for 30 seconds. I peeled the paper off, and it was a success!

Hope you like it :)

Sonic the Hedgehog - Nail Art

Some really really simple nail art I did last night, based off of Sonic the Hedgehog. I'm not sure what colours I used though, because the bottles had no names on them..

Got any requests for my next nail art?

Legend of Zelda/Triforce Nail Art

Yes, more nerdy nail art. This time it's a triforce, which is three golden triangles that represent wisdom, courage, and power. I painted all my nails with China Glaze Peace on Earth, and a coat of Orly's Glitz and Glamour on all but my ring finger. On my left hand's ring finger I painted the golden triforce with Glitz and Glamour abd outlined it with a generic black polish..

The next time I post will be Piplup nail art as requested by 'VijiiS'   :)

Let me know if you want to see more nail art like this!

Strawberry Pocky Inspired Nails

So today's nail art is pretty simple, but it's inspired by something I love. If you don't know what Pocky is, it's a Japanese treat that consists of a long, crunchy biscuit stick, coated with chocolate. But I really love the Strawberry flavour as well. I got a box today and loved the colours of the packaging so I decided to do some nail art!

I used:
-Lime by Billie Cosmetics
-Broken Hearted Crackle by China Glaze
-Crushed Candy Crackle by China Glaze

I hope you liked this post, and feel free to comment below :)

~On another note, I think that I may start posting makeup related things as well~
~Hope you guys don't mind!~

Icing by Claire's Polish Haul and a Quick Question

Icing by Claire's is a great place to buy nail polish. It's cheap, great colours and fairly good formula. So I recently bought a few colours, most of them being sparkly :) Sorry for the blurry pictures, the camera isn't working well.

These 3 colours are holographic. The one on the right looks orange but it's actually a sheer, holo, nude.

These aren't holo but extremely glittery. The blue sparkle looks nice over the blue on the right.

That's all of the pictures I have for today, but now it's time for a little question. I find that blogging only about nail polish is limiting my horizon. I was wondering if I should expand the blog to be nails, makeup, and perhaps a bit of fashion? You guys let me know :)

I'm Back!

So I'm not going to pretend to have an excuse for disappearing for two months. I'll tell you the truth, I have been extremely busy with school. Everything is so busy and stressful, and I needed a bit of a break from blogging. I have also been pretty sick with bronchitis, the flu and stuff like that. But I hope that I'll be able to make it up to you with some great posts.

I did buy all of the China Glaze Crackle polishes, but other than that I have been trying to slow down on the purchases. I am extremely happy to be back and blogging!

My First Tag - Stylish Blog Award

The wonderful Aurora from Aurora's Nails has tagged me with the Stylish Blogger award, which is my first tag! If you don't already check out her blog, you really should, so HERE is the link.

The rules were:
-Thank and link back to the person who tagged you.
-Share 7 facts about yourself.
-Award 13 great bloggers.
-Contact them and tell them about the award.

So onto the facts....

1. I love Hello Kitty. Clothes, accessories, alarm clocks, I have it all.

2. I am a Nintendo nerd. I love all things Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon.

3. I love art, especially painting with acrylics and mixing the colours. But I hate sketching with pencils.

4. I absolutely adore chocolate, and eat it every day. I have even read books about how to "properly" taste it.

5. I get extremely excited when I see rainbows. I think that they are one of the most pretty things in the world.

6. Sports are not my thing. The last athletic event that I participated in was tee-ball when I was four years old.

7. I watch way to much TV for my own good. My current favorites are Glee, The Big Bang Theory, and How I Met Your Mother.

Now it's time to tag some other bloggers, I'll try to pick ones that I have recently discovered.
(If you have already done this tag, then don't worry about it.)

1. The Student's Guide To Nail Polish
2. Pink Nail Blog
3. Rachel's Nails
4. The Nail Experiment
5. Toes That Twinkle
6. Zombie Claws
7. Deez Nails

10. Hebridean Sprite Beauty

Santa brought me polishes!

So I know that the holidays are over, but I'm trying to empty out the folders on my computer, so I thought I'd show you the nail polishes I got for Christmas.

China Glaze: Tempest, Lemon Fizz, Black Diamond, Secret Periwinkle, Heart of Africa

Nameless Sally Girl mini polishes.

Since they don't sell Hard Candy polishes where I live, and this didn't have a label, I have no clue what this is called. It included the cute heart shape file shown below.

How cute!

Did you guys get any polishes from Santa :)
